About the role

Alignz Recruitment is looking for experienced piling operators and dogman's to work on major marine infrastructure projects across Wellington.

Key responsibilities

Piling Operator duties:

• Operating piling rigs and supporting equipment

• Installing piles for marine structures and foundations

• Working from wharves, barges and waterfront sites

• Completing daily pre-start checks

• Working safely around cranes, lifting equipment and ground crews

Dogman duties:

• Slinging and directing suspended loads

• Guiding crane and piling operators

• Inspecting chains, slings and lifting equipment

• Setting up safe lifting areas

• Communicating clearly with marine construction crews

About you

• Previous piling or dogging experience

• Marine construction experience is an advantage

• Relevant licences, endorsements or training

• Strong understanding of lifting and site safety

• Comfortable working around water

• Reliable and physically fit

• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

• Legal right to work in New Zealand
