About the role

Franklin Trees is looking for an experienced Arborist to join our Pukekohe-based team.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety across private, commercial and utility tree work. You’ll be climbing, pruning, dismantling and removing trees, working with good equipment and an experienced crew.

If you enjoy practical outdoor work, want steady full-time hours and like having different jobs rather than doing the same thing every day, this could be a good fit.

What you’ll be doing

  • Tree climbing, pruning, dismantling and removals

  • Private, commercial and utility arboriculture

  • Utility vegetation management and line-clearance work where appropriately trained

  • Operating chainsaws, chippers, trucks and other arboricultural equipment

  • Working closely with crew leaders and ground crews

  • Helping keep jobs safe, organised and running efficiently

  • Looking after the equipment and gear you use

About you

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Practical arboriculture experience

  • Arboriculture qualifications or solid industry experience

  • Good climbing and tree-work skills

  • A good understanding of safe work practices

  • A current Class 1 New Zealand driver’s licence

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • A reliable attitude and willingness to get stuck in

Utility line-clearance experience, higher licence classes, MEWP experience or other relevant competencies would be an advantage.

Not every box needs to be ticked. If you have good arboriculture experience, the right attitude and transferable skills, we still want to hear from you.

About us

Franklin Trees works across private, commercial and utility arboriculture throughout Auckland and surrounding areas.

We offer consistent full-time work, competitive pay based on skills and experience, quality equipment and opportunities to build additional licences and competencies. You’ll be working alongside an experienced team on a wide range of jobs rather than being stuck doing the same work every day.
