Role Overview

Experience: 3 – 8 years

Domain: Defence | Aerospace | Satellites | Software Defined Radio (SDR) | RF | Communications | ELINT / SIGINT

  • We are seeking a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to design, simulate, and implement advanced signal-processing algorithms and real-time DSP systems for next-generation defence and aerospace applications.

  • You will take algorithms from mathematical concepts through MATLAB/Python modeling and validation to fixed-point, real-time deployment on FPGA, DSP, and embedded platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Algorithm Design & Simulation: Develop and model DSP algorithms for digital communications, RF, ELINT, SIGINT, and SDR applications using MATLAB/Simulink and Python (NumPy/SciPy).

  • Waveform & Modulation Processing: Design modulation/demodulation schemes (BPSK, QPSK, OQPSK, FSK, MSK, GMSK, QAM, DVB-S2, CPM) along with carrier/symbol synchronization, timing recovery, matched filtering, and channel estimation.

  • Real-Time Hardware Deployment: Convert floating-point models to fixed-point, bit-accurate implementations and deploy algorithms on FPGA, DSP, and embedded processors.

  • ELINT/SIGINT & SDR Development: Build communication receivers/transmitters and develop signal detection, parameter extraction, and spectrum analysis algorithms.

  • System Integration & Testing: Interface DSP algorithms with RF front-ends, ADCs/DACs, and SDRs. Perform hardware-in-the-loop validation using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, VSAs, and logic analyzers.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside RF, FPGA, embedded software, and systems engineers to deliver high-performance products.

Required Skills

  • Core DSP & Communications: Strong foundation in DSP fundamentals, digital communications, sampling theory, Fourier transforms, filtering, correlation, and spectral analysis.

  • Simulation & Programming: Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python for algorithm design; programming knowledge in Python, C, or C++.

  • RF & SDR Architectures: Solid understanding of RF signal chains, SDR architectures, and complex I/Q data processing.

  • Technical Problem Solving: Proven ability to implement algorithms derived from IEEE papers, communication standards, and technical specifications.

Preferred Skills

  • FPGA DSP Development: Hands-on experience with FPGA platforms (Xilinx/AMD, Intel/Altera, Xilinx RFSoC) using RTL or High-Level Synthesis (HLS).

  • Intelligence & Radar Systems: Background in ELINT, SIGINT, COMINT, EW, radar signal processing, or direction finding (DOA/AOA).

  • Advanced Waveforms & Coding: Familiarity with FEC coding (LDPC, Turbo, Reed-Solomon), OFDM, spread spectrum (DSSS/FHSS), and anti-jamming techniques.

  • Test & Measurement: Hands-on experience with RF test equipment, IQ data capture, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • B.E./Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunication, Electrical and Electronics, Aviation, Information Technology, Computers, Electrical
