Alignz Recruitment is looking for experienced or qualified drainlayers to join major civil contracting teams across the Wellington region.
Whether you hold a drainage qualification or bring solid hands-on experience, we want to hear from you.
About the role
Install and repair stormwater and wastewater drainage systems.
Carry out pipe laying, bedding, backfilling and compaction.
Work with plans, levels and pipe lasers to achieve correct alignment and grades.
Assist with installing manholes, sumps and drainage connections.
Work safely around trenches, underground services and heavy machinery.
Support the crew with general civil duties when required.
About you
A drainage qualification or proven practical drainlaying experience.
Experience in civil drainage, subdivisions or infrastructure projects.
Ability to follow plans and instructions and take pride in your work.
A strong understanding of trench safety and working around services.
Reliable, practical and comfortable with physical outdoor work.
Full Class 1 driver licence; Class 2 and WTR endorsements are an advantage.
