About the role

We are seeking a Kaiāwhina to join Bethlehem School with three Level One Immersion Rumaki classes for 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with kaiako and their students, ranging from Year 0-6, delivering educational programmes and support

• Develop strong relationships with tamariki, whanāu and colleagues

• Uphold and nurture current relationships the kura has with our three Marae

About you

• Must speak functional Te Reo Māori (fluency is an asset but not a requirement)

• Ability to develop strong relationships with tamariki, whanāu and colleagues

• Knowledge and understanding of local hapū and Iwi (Ngāti Kahu, Ngāti Hāngarau, Ngai Tamarāwaho)

• Commitment to upholding and nurturing relationships with the three Marae

• Professional and committed in approach to your mahi
