Mechanical Fitter   

Our client is an established Otago engineering company with a large, modern Dunedin facility, providing manufacturing, fabrication, mechanical fit-out, commissioning, repair and maintenance services across a range of industries.

Based in Dunedin, the role offers varied workshop-based work involving machinery manufacture and assembly, mechanical fit-out, equipment overhauls, repairs, servicing and project work for clients across multiple industry sectors.

Skills and Experience required:

Sound experience in mechanical fitting, ideally within industrial maintenance, machinery assembly or equipment repair.

Preferably trade qualified

Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience an advantage 

Experience in assembly and fault finding on complex, PLC controlled systems

Understanding of mechanical systems, technical drawings and assembly procedures

Be confident in working with a range of mechanical tools

About You:

Good computer literacy, strong attention to detail and the ability to record job information accurately

Ability to work in a team-based environment

Excellent health and safety focused attitude

Physically fit and able

Have recent work references

Currently residing in and eligible to work permanently in NZ. These are not sponsored roles.

A pre employment Drug and Alcohol screen and other pre-employment checks may be required.

 

On Offer:

$40-$45 per hr, depending on experience and qualifications

Regular ongoing full-time hours, with the opportunity for overtime.
