Responsible for ensuring maximum availability, reliability and safe operation of all mechanical equipment in the Aluminium Extrusion and Anodizing Plant through effective preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.

The role involves technical expertise in hydraulic systems, extrusion presses, furnaces, handling systems, anodizing equipment, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, cranes and automation-related mechanical systems, along with maintenance planning, troubleshooting, spare-parts management, cost control and team leadership.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for mechanical maintenance of Aluminium Extrusion Press, Furnaces, Anodizing Line and auxiliary equipment.
Handle troubleshooting and maintenance of hydraulic systems, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, valves, cylinders, conveyors, cranes and material handling systems.
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
Attend breakdowns, identify root causes and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation teams for equipment-related issues.
Supervise fitters and technicians, allocate maintenance jobs and monitor work completion.
Maintain critical spare parts inventory and coordinate with Stores/Purchase for timely availability.
Monitor maintenance costs and support cost reduction and energy optimization initiatives.
Maintain maintenance records, PM checklists, breakdown reports and equipment history.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, LOTO and maintenance standards.
Support installation, commissioning and maintenance of new machinery and plant modifications.
Implement 5S, Kaizen, RCA and continuous improvement activities.
