Take ownership of awarded projects from preproduction planning through to delivery and final account. Work closely with our Project Manager to get jobs ready for manufacture, keep customers informed and stay on top of costs, variations and claims.
Ultimate Engineered Concrete manufactures and supplies precast and prestressed concrete products for projects across the North Island, including flooring systems, wall panels and bridge components. We also supply and place reinforcing steel in Taranaki.
What you’ll do
Take over awarded work from estimating, confirm the scope and program, and coordinate shop drawings, approvals and materials so production can start on time.
Give the Project Manager a clear handover. They’ll run day-to-day factory production, and you’ll use their progress updates to resolve issues, manage customer commitments and coordinate deliveries.
Manage contracts, variations, notices, month-end progress claims and final accounts. Track project costs and forecast margins so you can act early when a job is going off budget.
Coordinate customer quality documentation and work with the team to reduce waste and improve handovers through our Lean programme.
Use CASPER, our in-house programme for preproduction, production recording and dispatch. Help shape its next stages as we extend it into tendering, claims and invoicing, with labour recording to follow.
What you’ll bring
You can read construction drawings, understand how a job moves from drawings to manufacture and delivery, and keep several projects moving at once. You’re comfortable working with customers, suppliers and factory teams, and you follow through on commitments.
You’ll bring experience in contracts, project management or a similar role in construction or manufacturing. Experience with claims, variations, programming and cost control will be valuable. A background in precast, prestressed concrete or reinforcing is an advantage.
You’ll report directly to the Managing Director and have support to learn our products and systems. If you’re ready to step up, we can agree a development plan that builds on your experience. Estimating and tender preparation can be added as you get established in the role.
