Our vision is to be a safe, lean and highly automated production facility, and our Robotic Welding Engineer will play an important part in getting us there.
We’ve invested in high-quality manufacturing equipment, including Trumpf Flat Bed and Tube Lasers, and we’re continuing to develop our automation capability.
Joining our Automation & Maintenance team, you’ll bring experience with OTC and Yaskawa welding robots and work across jig design and build, robot programming, maintenance, troubleshooting and optimisation. You’ll continually look for opportunities to improve our robotic welding systems, increase efficiency and support safe, reliable production.
What you’ll bring:
Trade qualification or practical experience in engineering or a related field
Experience with robotic welding, programming and troubleshooting
Experience with OTC Daihen and/or Yaskawa systems would be an advantage
Practical knowledge of MIG welding and robotic welding applications
Ability to read engineering drawings and welding specifications
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
High standards of quality and attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Clear communication skills and confidence training operators
A willingness to learn and develop your technical capability
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience commissioning and supporting robotic welding cells in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with fixture design, tooling, and manufacturing process improvement.
Familiarity with CAD software and automation technologies.
