About the role

This is a sales-first role focused on leading the New Zealand business for OCC Apparel. You'll generate revenue from day one and consistently hit agreed monthly sales targets, helping push the ethical apparel movement forward.

This is a fully remote, NZ-wide role. OCC services New Zealand online with an accredited Auckland production partner, so there's no office to commute to: you'll work from home and meet clients on site. A dedicated sales office and showroom may follow as the NZ business grows.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate sales from day one, and meet or exceed agreed monthly sales and gross profit targets

  • Win new B2B accounts across corporate, hospitality, tourism, education, clubs and events

  • Show businesses why choosing better apparel is good for their brand, their people and the planet

  • Run the full sales cycle: prospecting, meetings, samples, quoting and closing

  • Build recurring accounts and long-term relationships

About you

  • 5+ years of B2B sales in decorated apparel, promotional products, uniforms or screen printing/embroidery

  • Industry relationships you can activate immediately, so you're producing orders in your first month

  • A track record of hitting or beating monthly targets, with numbers you can share at interview

  • A genuine belief in ethical and sustainable apparel, and the ability to sell its value, not just its price

  • A self-driven, entrepreneurial approach, comfortable working autonomously

About us

OCC Apparel has spent more than 22 years supplying premium, ethically made, custom-decorated apparel and merchandise to businesses across Australia and New Zealand, from brands that respect the people who make it and the planet it comes from.

What we offer

  • Flexible engagement. We're open to an employee role (base salary + commission + benefits) or a contractor arrangement (retainer + commission). The structure and package are negotiable on experience and built around agreed monthly targets.

  • Prefer to own it? For the right person, we're open to a franchise arrangement instead: your own independent OCC Apparel business on a royalty basis, under a formal franchise agreement. You fund and run the business yourself, with OCC's brand, supply chain, systems and support behind you.

  • Modern systems and back-office support. We're a forward-thinking business: quoting, orders, artwork and production run through ShopVOX, with a dedicated support team handling the admin, and we use AI-assisted tools to cut out busywork, so you can spend your time selling.

  • Established ethical brands, suppliers, pricing, production and support teams

  • Real ownership of a growing market

How to apply
Apply with your CV and a cover letter that includes a short summary of your sales results over the last 12 months, and whether you'd prefer employee, contractor or franchise ownership.

All applications are treated in strict confidence.
