These are two separate opportunities offering the chance to join an experienced engineering and manufacturing team and work across technically challenging LV, MV and HV electrical infrastructure projects.

1. Switchboard Electrician – Testing & Commissioning

This position is primarily focused on the testing, inspection, fault finding and commissioning of LV, MV and HV switchboards and transportable switchrooms before delivery and during site installation where required.

You will work closely with our engineering, production, quality and project teams to ensure every product meets Australian Standards, customer specifications and the highest quality expectations.

The role also includes switchboard assembly, modifications and occasional site installation and commissioning work throughout Queensland and interstate when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional, mechanical and electrical testing of LV, MV and HV switchboards and transportable switchrooms.
  • Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, phase rotation, earth continuity and operational testing.
  • Perform protection relay verification, control circuit testing and commissioning activities.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single line diagrams and General Arrangement drawings.
  • Prepare test reports, commissioning documentation and quality records.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with customers and consultants.
  • Mentor apprentices, trades assistants and junior electricians.
  • Undertake occasional site installation, testing and commissioning work, including shutdowns and after-hours projects where required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence (Electrical Mechanic / Fitter).
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or Electrical Fitting.
  • Minimum three years' experience in industrial switchboard manufacturing, testing or commissioning.
  • Strong experience testing LV switchboards, motor control centres and industrial control systems.
  • Exposure to MV and HV switchgear, substations or protection systems will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 3000 and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Current CPR/LVR certification.
  • Ability to work across both workshop locations.

2. HV/MV Electrical Engineer – Switchboards & Power Systems

We are also seeking an experienced HV/MV Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

This opportunity will suit an Australian-registered Electrical Engineer with experience across HV/MV electrical systems who is looking to build their career within an established Australian electrical engineering and manufacturing environment.

You will work alongside our engineering, manufacturing, testing, quality and project teams and gain exposure to a diverse range of electrical infrastructure, including MV and HV switchboards, switchgear, switchrooms, transportable substations, power distribution systems, protection and control systems.

To be considered for the Electrical Engineer opportunity, you will have:

  • Australian registration as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant industry experience.
  • Experience working with HV and/or MV electrical systems.
  • Experience within switchboards, switchgear, substations, protection and control systems or power distribution will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Understanding of relevant Australian Standards.
  • Ability to work effectively alongside engineering, manufacturing, project and testing teams.
