Field Service Technician | Industrial Equipment

Like fixing things that others can’t? Prefer hands-on work to sitting behind a desk?

If you’re the kind of technician who enjoys getting to the root of a fault, pulling things apart, figuring out how they work and getting machinery back up and running, you’ll fit right in.

This is a hands-on field role working with industrial coding and labelling equipment across the North Island. You’ll be diagnosing faults, carrying out preventative maintenance, repairing equipment and helping customers keep their operations moving.

Every site is different. Every fault is a new puzzle. And you’ll have the freedom to solve it.

What’s in it for you?

  • Monday–Friday - with a structured on-call roster and additional remuneration.

  • Serious technical development - hands-on training across a broad range of industrial equipment.

  • Plenty of variety - preventative maintenance one day, breakdown troubleshooting and installation the next.

  • Real autonomy - manage your day, diagnose problems and get the job done.

  • A team that knows its stuff - experienced technicians who are happy to share their knowledge.

  • Long-term stability - a well-established business with a team that sticks around because they enjoy what they do.

What you’ll actually be doing

You’ll be out on customer sites keeping equipment running reliably. That means:

  • Diagnosing electrical, mechanical and technical faults.

  • Carrying out preventative maintenance and servicing.

  • Repairing and troubleshooting industrial equipment.

  • Installing and commissioning new equipment.

  • Responding to breakdowns and getting customers back up and running.

  • Managing your own jobs, travel and customer bookings.

  • Working alongside the wider service team to deliver great outcomes.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to know every piece of equipment on day one. We can teach you the machines, we need you to bring the technical mindset.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Current EAS registration, or working towards

  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance or field service.

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

  • A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.

  • The confidence to work independently at customer sites.

  • Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude.

  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn.

If you enjoy solving problems, working with machinery and never quite knowing what the next job will throw at you, this could be the move for you.
