Your new role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced lawyer to join a specialist corporate services business.

Working with a predominantly international client base, you'll advise on offshore trusts, asset protection and complex cross-border matters.

This role will suit someone who enjoys interesting legal challenges, thinks commercially and can navigate complex regulatory requirements while delivering practical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Advise on offshore trusts, asset protection and corporate structures
  • Draft and review complex trust and legal documentation
  • Support international clients and advisers across multiple jurisdictions
  • Provide practical legal and regulatory guidance to the wider team
  • Manage competing priorities and contribute to improving processes
What we're looking for
  • Experienced lawyer with a background in trusts, private client or asset protection
  • Strong legal drafting skills and sound commercial judgement
  • Confident navigating complex legal and regulatory matters
  • Adaptable, proactive and comfortable taking ownership
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Offshore trust experience, STEP qualifications or exposure to international clients would be advantageous, but are not essential.

Why consider this opportunity?
  • Interesting, varied work with sophisticated international clients
  • Opportunity to develop specialist offshore trust expertise
  • Small, collaborative team where your contribution is recognised
  • Flexible hours, with remote working considered
  • Private medical insurance, wellness allowance, gym membership and birthday leave
  • Professional development, including potential international conferences
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer looking to broaden their expertise beyond traditional New Zealand private client work.
