About the role
As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding Angel Healthcare Services. You will spend your time meeting potential clients, understanding their staffing challenges, developing solutions and winning new business, while working closely with our recruitment and operations teams to deliver a high level of service.
Key responsibilities
Identify and target new business opportunities across Christchurch and Canterbury
Develop relationships with rest homes, aged-care facilities, disability providers, community organizations and other healthcare providers
Build trusted relationships with facility managers, clinical managers, HR teams, procurement teams and senior decision-makers
Generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, email campaigns, face-to-face meetings and proactive prospecting
Arrange and attend client meetings and presentations
Understand each client's workforce requirements and recommend suitable staffing solutions
Manage the complete business development process from initial contact through to client onboarding and ongoing account management
Follow up leads consistently and professionally
Maintain a strong and accurate sales pipeline
Work closely with our recruitment and rostering teams to ensure client requirements are met
About you
Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in business development, B2B sales, account management, recruitment, healthcare services or another relevant client-facing commercial role
Experience in healthcare, aged care, disability, recruitment, staffing or community services highly regarded
Proven ability to generate new business
Confident making cold calls and approaching businesses
Ability to build genuine relationships with decision-makers
Comfortable meeting clients face-to-face
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Commercially driven and motivated by results
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Resilient and comfortable hearing "no"
