About the role
We're looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our Queenstown team.
You'll be working on a wide variety of projects, from architectural metalwork and commercial kitchens to custom fabrication and onsite installations. No two days are the same!
We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in fabrication and welding, a great attitude, and pride in their workmanship.
Key responsibilities
TIG and MIG welding to a high standard
Fabrication using stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with opportunities to work with brass and copper
Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
Workshop fabrication, assembly and finishing
Operating fabrication tools and machinery
Onsite installations
Maintaining a safe, organised and professional work environment
About you
Minimum requirements:
At least 3 years' relevant metal fabrication experience OR a relevant NZQCF Level 4 trade qualification (or equivalent)
Competent TIG and MIG welding skills
Experience working with stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
Full New Zealand driver's licence
We're also looking for:
Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Brass and copper fabrication experience is an advantage
