About the role

Advanced Personnel Services Ltd is seeking multiple experienced Excavator Operator to join our team based in Canterbury. To be successful in this role you will have proven experience across a range of civil construction and earthworks projects and be confident operating machinery safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities :

Excavation of foundation and pile pads
Final trim and GPS-ready finishing work
Drainage and utility trenching
Bulk earthworks and site cuts
Loading trucks and material management
Backfilling and compaction
Installation of stormwater, sewer and water reticulation
Working around live services and existing infrastructure

General civil construction and subdivision works

What we're looking for :

WTR endorsements and Class 2, 4 or 5 licence advantageous
Minimum of 2-3 years' proven experience as an Excavator Operator on active construction sites
Full understanding and demonstrated commitment to health and safety legislation and best practices
Ability to interpret site plans, specifications and technical drawings accurately
Strong spatial awareness and excellent hand-eye coordination for precision operation
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work
