About the role
STIHL SHOP Waiheke is looking for a reliable, organised and customer-focused Shop Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our store. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys dealing with customers, selling quality products and making sure the shop is well presented, organised and running efficiently.
Key responsibilities
Managing the day-to-day operation of the shop
Providing friendly, professional customer service
Selling STIHL products, outdoor power equipment, accessories and related products
Helping customers choose the right products for their needs
Processing sales, payments, orders and customer enquiries
Answering phone, email and walk-in enquiries
Keeping the shop, showroom, counter and display areas clean, tidy and well presented
Maintaining product displays and ensuring stock is correctly priced
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and replenishment
Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
About you
Friendly, confident and good with people
Sales-focused and comfortable recommending products
Reliable and able to take ownership of the store
Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
Practical and willing to get involved
Comfortable using computers, EFTPOS and point-of-sale systems
A good communicator and team player
Interested in tools, machinery and outdoor power equipment
Willing to learn and develop strong product knowledge
Previous experience in retail, sales, tools, machinery, outdoor power equipment or a similar industry would be an advantage, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important
