The City of Beachwood, Ohio, is accepting resumes for the full-time, salaried position of Assistant Law Director/Prosecutor. The individual will primarily perform criminal prosecution work, conduct pretrial conferences, appear in court for hearings and trials, perform legal research, handle appeals, and draft motions and briefs. Will also assist the Law Director to provide civil legal counsel to City Council, Mayor and Department Directors, as well as prepare legal documents and represent the City in legal proceedings.  Position requires a Juris Doctorate degree and five (5) years full-time experience in the practice of law, preferably as a criminal prosecutor with jury trial experience. Selected candidate must be a member of the Ohio Bar and in good standing with the Supreme Court at the time of appointment.
