We are seeking a motivated, organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our Dunedin branch.

This is a varied role that plays an important part in the smooth day-to-day running of our office, providing administrative support to our team and helping us deliver the high standard of service our customers expect.

The key focus of this position will be creditors and debtors, so experience in accounts administration and working with an accounting package is essential. The successful applicant will be a friendly and professional communicator who enjoys working with people, can manage competing priorities and thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Debtors: Loading customer invoices for payment, issuing monthly statements and following up overdue accounts.

  • Job administration: Entering new jobs into MYOB and updating the Operations Log.

  • General day-to-day office administration to ensure the efficient running of the branch.

  • Reception duties, including answering phone calls, greeting visitors and assisting with enquiries.

  • Assisting with job card processes and maintaining accurate records.

  • Reviewing and collating timesheets and leave forms.

  • Ordering office and operational supplies.

  • Providing administrative support to the wider team as required.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an administration or accounts administration role.

  • Experience using an accounting package, with MYOB experience an advantage.

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence dealing with a wide range of people.

  • A friendly, professional and customer-focused approach.

  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

  • The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.

What we offer

  • A stable role within a successful and established company.

  • A friendly, supportive team environment.

  • A varied position with responsibility and autonomy.

  • Flexible working hours, with 30–40 hours per week available.

  • Flexibility to accommodate the right candidate.

If you are an organised and reliable administrator with strong accounts experience and a positive attitude, we would love to hear from you.
