We are partnering with an established international product company expanding its technology platform. The engineering environment involves complex microservices, high-performance backend systems, and data processing at scale. About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer to design, scale, and maintain backend services using Python, cloud technologies, and distributed systems. In this hands-on position, you will own technical solutions across the entire delivery lifecycle and influence key engineering decisions.
A core focus of this role is the practical use of AI coding assistants and agents in your daily workflow to drive development efficiency and code quality. While backend engineering is the primary focus, flexibility to occasionally assist with infrastructure or frontend tasks is appreciated.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Python microservices (FastAPI) and public/internal APIs.
Optimize distributed data flows, service-to-service communication, and messaging systems.
Integrate production AI features (LLMs, prompt-based workflows, AI agents).
Drive system reliability, performance, observability, and automated testing.
Participate in architectural discussions, code/design reviews, and cross-service delivery.

Requirements

5+ years of backend engineering experience with Python.
Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and API design.
Hands-on experience with AWS (managed services) and Docker.
Experience with asynchronous messaging (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka) and caching systems.
Daily, intensive use of AI development tools/agents as an integral part of your workflow.
Strong ownership mindset, ability to work independently, and Upper-Intermediate+ English.

Nice to Have

Hands-on experience with LLM integrations (Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic).
Knowledge of Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
Background in Cybersecurity, Big Data, or graph-based modeling.
Secondary experience with Frontend (especially Angular).
