At Evolve Accounting, we're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant/Client Manager to join our growing team. You'll manage a portfolio of clients, deliver and review high-quality compliance work, and work directly with clients to help them navigate their accounting, tax and business needs.

We're looking for someone who enjoys the client side of accounting just as much as the numbers.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and review annual financial statements and income tax returns

• Manage GST, PAYE and provisional tax requirements

• Review compliance work and maintain a high standard of quality

• Manage a portfolio of clients and be their key point of contact

• Provide practical Xero support and advice

• Prepare management reports, cashflows and other reporting as required

• Build strong client relationships and proactively identify where we can add value

• Work alongside the wider team

What we're looking for

You'll be an experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager who is confident managing client work and enjoys working collaboratively with both clients and colleagues.

You'll bring

• Previous accounting experience within a New Zealand CA firm or public practice environment

• CA or CPA qualification, or be actively working towards your qualification

• Strong knowledge of New Zealand tax and accounting requirements

• Confidence preparing and reviewing compliance work

• Strong Xero skills

• Excellent written and verbal English

• Good judgement, attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• A proactive, client focused approach, where you can build client relationships

• An active team player who enjoys contributing and helping the team.
