Merric is a New Zealand women’s fashion retailer, and we are looking for a friendly, confident and customer-focused Part-Time Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in Palmerston North.

This role is approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as required.

About the Role

As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will:

• Provide friendly and helpful customer service

• Assist customers with styling, sizing and product selection

• Process sales and operate the POS system

• Help maintain attractive store displays and presentation

• Receive, unpack and organise stock

• Keep the store clean, tidy and welcoming

• Support the Store Manager and team with day-to-day store operations

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is friendly, reliable and confident with customers

• Enjoys fashion and helping customers find styles that suit them

• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Is comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Is flexible with working hours, including weekends

• Has previous retail or customer service experience – fashion retail experience would be an advantage

• Has the legal right to work in New Zealand
