Phlebotomist – Part-Time

Wānaka Medical Centre is looking for a friendly, reliable and detail-focused Phlebotomist to join our team.

This is a part-time position of 22–30 hours per week, with additional hours required to provide annual and sick leave cover.

The role involves phlebotomy and specimen collection within our busy general practice, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Phlebotomy and specimen collection

• Provide a positive and reassuring experience for patients

• Provide additional cover for annual and sick leave as required

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Ideally has phlebotomy experience, although training can be provided for the right person

• Has excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Has a warm, professional and reassuring approach with patients

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Is organised, reliable and able to work well in a busy environment

• Enjoys being part of a supportive healthcare team
