About the RoleWe're looking for reliable, hardworking Fabricator/Welders who are confident working across various welding and fabrication projects. You'll be involved in a range of workshop and on-site work, including structural steel, general engineering and custom fabrication.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG, TIG, ARC (Stick) and Flux Core welding.
- Fabricate and weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
- Perform structural steel fabrication, assembly and installation.
- Cut, grind, shape and prepare materials for welding.
- Operate fabrication equipment, including grinders, cutting tools and welding machinery.
- Carry out repairs, modifications and general engineering work.
- Ensure all welding meets quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
- Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication.
- Experience with MIG, TIG, ARC and/or Flux Core welding.
- Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel or aluminium.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience in structural steel, heavy fabrication or general engineering is advantageous.
- Relevant welding qualifications or trade certificates are highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transport and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Competitive pay rates of $32–$45 per hour, depending on experience.
