Turn data and digital systems into better experiences for students and teachers
St Michael’s College is a Catholic school in the Lasallian tradition, committed to the human and Christian education of young people through Community, Challenge and Choice. We are an inclusive and innovative learning community where each person is known, valued and cared for, and where students are supported to flourish and confidently prepare for an ever-evolving world.
As St Michael’s College enters an exciting new stage of innovation and growth, including the development of our new STEAM Centre, we are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking educator to take on the new position of SEQTA and Data Analytics Leader (POR 2).
This role provides an exciting opportunity to influence how technology and data can make teaching more effective, decision-making more informed and the experience of students, families and staff better.
The successful applicant will lead the College's educational use and ongoing development of SEQTA, while helping build our capacity to make purposeful use of learning, achievement and wellbeing data across R–12.
Working across curriculum, pastoral, ICT and leadership teams, you will help transform information into meaningful insights that can strengthen teaching practice, evaluate programs and support improved student learning and wellbeing outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to:
lead and shape the future use of SEQTA across the College
strengthen the way student learning, achievement and wellbeing data informs practice
develop dashboards, analytics and learner profiles that make information accessible and useful
build staff confidence and capability in data literacy
support teachers to make effective use of digital systems in their everyday practice
contribute to an increasingly innovative and technology-rich learning environment
work closely with the Director of Creativity and Innovation as the College prepares for the opening and activation of its new STEAM Centre.
We are looking for an educator who enjoys solving problems, making systems work better and helping others use technology and data with confidence. You will combine strong digital capability with excellent communication skills and a practical, service-focused approach.
This position is a POR 2 appointment with a two-year leadership tenure, underpinned by a permanent teaching position at St Michael’s College.
If you are passionate about using technology and data to make a tangible difference to teaching, learning and student outcomes, we would love to hear from you.
