SENIOR AV INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN – COMMERCIAL

$40–$48 per hour | Full-time, permanent

Automation Associates is a New Zealand technology company specialising in the design, installation and integration of high-end AV, video conferencing and technology systems across commercial and residential environments.

We're looking for an experienced Senior AV Installation Technician to join our commercial team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, take ownership of their work and takes real pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship.

You'll also be someone the less experienced technicians can learn from - happy to share your knowledge, help solve problems and lead by example on site.

The role

You'll be responsible for delivering commercial AV installations from prewire through to fit-off, testing, commissioning and handover.

You'll:

· Take ownership of your projects and work through installations independently.

· Complete prewire, fit-off, testing and commissioning of commercial AV systems.

· Read plans and project documentation and work to the required specifications.

· Troubleshoot issues and find practical solutions on site.

· Maintain a high standard of tidy, quality workmanship - right first time.

· Support and share knowledge with less experienced technicians.

· Work closely with project managers and programmers.

· Represent Automation Associates professionally with clients, builders and other trades.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone with proven commercial AV installation experience who understands what good work looks like.

You'll have:

· Strong experience in prewire, fit-off and commissioning of commercial AV systems.

· Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.

· The ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work.

· Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

· Solid IT and networking knowledge — advantageous.

· A genuine interest in technology and keeping up with what's new.

· A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to help others.

· A full manual driver's licence.
