We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and positive Kiwi Can Leader to join our dynamic, gender-balanced team starting Term 1, Jan 18 2027. If you love working with tamariki, bring great energy, and want to make a real difference in your community, this is the opportunity for you.

About the Role

As a Kiwi Can Leader, you’ll deliver high-energy, values-based lessons to primary and intermediate students (ages 5–12) across local kura. Each session is packed with games, challenges, and conversations designed to build confidence, resilience, and life skills in tamariki.

You’ll work alongside your co-leader to create fun, engaging lessons that align with the NZ Curriculum - teaching important values like respect, integrity, and perseverance in a hands-on, interactive way. No two days are the same, and every class is a new opportunity to connect, inspire, and uplift.

You’ll also weave Te Reo Māori and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi into your delivery, helping all tamariki feel seen, valued, and proud of who they are.

Who You Are

You’re a confident, creative communicator who connects easily with young people. You’re flexible, team-oriented, and bring a sense of fun to your mahi. Whether you’ve worked with youth before or are ready to start your journey in this space, you’re passionate about making a difference and living by values that matter.

Bonus points for: experience with tamariki, knowledge of Te Ao Māori or Te Reo Māori, or skills in sport, drama, music, or creative arts.

Why Join Us?

  • Make a real impact in the lives of tamariki

  • Be part of a passionate, supportive team

  • Enjoy full training and ongoing professional development

  • Build meaningful connections with kura and community

  • Join a kaupapa that supports your growth and wellbeing

If you’re ready to inspire the next generation and lead with heart - we’d love to hear from you.
