JOB ROLE

A leading international law firm is seeking a Corporate/M&A Associate to join its Beijing office. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate to work on sophisticated, high-value cross-border matters alongside an international team.


JOB DESCRIPTION

You will advise on a broad range of corporate transactions, with a particular focus on complex cross-border M&A. The role will also involve a variety of regulatory and international trade matters, including:

• Regulatory compliance
• Sanctions
• CFIUS reviews
• Export controls
• Other cross-border transactional and regulatory matters

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

• 3–5 years' relevant corporate transactional experience;
• Strong experience in cross-border M&A, ideally gained at a leading international law firm or a top-tier Chinese law firm with a significant international practice;
• U.S. Bar admission;
• Native-level Mandarin Chinese and fluent English, with the ability to draft and communicate effectively in both languages;
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills;
• The ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously and perform effectively under tight deadlines; and
• A collaborative, commercially minded approach suited to a fast-paced international practice.
• Experience in regulatory compliance, sanctions, CFIUS and/or export controls will be particularly attractive.
• PRC legal qualification is preferred but not essential.
