About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager / Estimator to join our Sales Team in Tauranga. The ideal candidate will have a trade background or relevant experience in construction, property maintenance, building services or a similar field.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical ability and practical knowledge, with the ability to attend site, assess requirements, scope projects and maintenance works, and develop practical solutions for our clients.

You will be responsible for understanding the client's requirements, determining the appropriate methodology and resources, and preparing accurate and commercially sound estimates and proposals.

The role covers a broad range of maintenance, construction and building wash services, so the ability to understand how work is carried out and translate that knowledge into a clear scope and solution is essential.

You will work closely with clients, tradespeople and our Operations Team to ensure projects are accurately scoped, competitively priced and clearly handed over for delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial and public sector clients

• Identify and develop new business opportunities

• Attend sites and accurately scope maintenance, construction and building wash works

• Use your technical and trade knowledge to identify practical solutions to client requirements

• Scope projects and develop appropriate maintenance and construction solutions

• Prepare accurate estimates, quotations and proposals in a timely manner

• Price works across a range of property maintenance, construction and exterior cleaning services

• Manage your sales pipeline and follow up opportunities and quotations

• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales documentation

• Work with Operations to ensure awarded work is clearly and accurately handed over

• Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the sales and delivery process

• Identify opportunities to increase our share of wallet with existing customers

• Contribute to achieving sales, revenue and gross profit targets.
  

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who understands how construction and maintenance work is actually carried out, rather than someone who simply knows how to price a job.

• 4+ years' experience in sales, estimating, account management, construction, property maintenance, building wash or a related trade

• A strong technical or trade background, with practical knowledge of construction and maintenance methods

• The ability to attend site, assess the work required and develop a suitable solution

• The ability to scope works accurately and translate technical requirements into a clear quotation

• Strong commercial understanding and the ability to balance client requirements, project costs and profit margins

• Experience estimating or pricing construction, maintenance or trade-based works

• Strong relationship-building and communication skills

• A proactive approach to business development, lead generation and following up opportunities

• The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with Operations and other internal teams

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and quotations

• Confidence using CRM systems, estimating tools and Microsoft Office

• A current, clean Full Class 1 Driver Licence
