dreamwork_

We need a pragmatic developer who can get stuck into a large existing codebase, handle fuzzy requirements, and work directly with clients and the team to turn them into working software.

This is a 3-month contract with possibility of extension ideally starting mid-November.

What you’ll do

  • Design, build, and maintain C# / .NET applications, owning work from problem through to deployment and support

  • Work with developers, architects, testers, and clients to clarify requirements and agree on solutions

  • Take part in Agile ceremonies and code reviews

  • Write automated tests (xUnit, NUnit, FlaUI, CodedUI)

  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployments (Azure DevOps preferred)

  • Work with T-SQL and Entity Framework

  • Troubleshoot and fix issues across dev, test, and production

What you need

  • Strong commercial C# and .NET / .NET Core experience

  • SQL and Entity Framework

  • Solid testing discipline and clean, maintainable code

  • CI/CD and DevOps familiarity

  • Good analytical skills, and comfort working with incomplete requirements

  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical people, including clients

  • Able to challenge ideas, and be challenged, without drama

Nice to have

  • Blazor Server / MudBlazor

  • WCF / Web API

  • Azure, Windows Server, IIS

  • FlaUI or CodedUI

  • Government sector experience

What we offer

  • Meaningful project where developers shape solutions, not just implement specs

  • Client and architecture exposure

  • Modern Microsoft stack and DevOps practices

  • Scope to take ownership and influence how the team works
