The Role

We are looking for someone to lead and manage activities in our satellite hire yard. This is a hands on physical role and would involve organizing the yard, loading trucks, cleaning equipment on washbay, minor mechanical repairs and leading a small team. You will also be serving trade customers and doing some deliveries to site.

This is a full-time role that requires commitment to an early morning start and flexibility to adapt the day around the customer’s needs.  

Key responsibilities will include:   

-          Washing equipment on washbay

-          Minor mechanical repairs

-          Complete pre hire /post hire inspections

-          Loading/unloading customers vehicles

-          Assist with deliveries and other branch operation duties

-          Organizing yard

-          Responsible to opening and closing yard each day (6:30AM – 5:30PM)

What you’ll need to succeed?

-          You will be a team player not afraid to get your hands dirty and work in all weather conditions

-          You will be active and on your feet in this role; physical fitness is essential

-          Mechanical knowledge or understanding  

-          Good level of computer/IT literacy

-          Have an interest in machinery and heavy equipment

-          Not afraid to work a few extra hours here and there to ensure we put the customer first

-          Flexibility to get the job done, be energetic and have a team first attitude

-          A valid and current NZ driver’s licence

-          Ability to work unsupervised and lead a small team

-          Reliable and trustworthy
