As the Manager on Duty, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, leading operational departments during your shift, and responding to emergency and escalated situations if required.

Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week, 5 days out of 7).
Shifts: Rotating mix of 7:00 am – 3:30 pm & 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm including weekends.
Availability: Must be available to work weekends and public holidays as part of the roster.


The role....

  • Leading hotel operations during your shift, ensuring a seamless guest experience.

  • Coordinating with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

  • Monitor reservations, guest preferences, and special requirements to ensure personalized service delivery.

  • Assisting with training, coaching, and developing team members.

  • Anticipate operational challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain service excellence.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • A positive attitude and a commitment to adding value to the guest experience

  • Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or Front Office leadership role.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Be confident and empathic when dealing with all guests

  • Be a team player with excellent communication skills

  • Good relationship building skills

  • A high standard of personal presentation

  • Excellent time management and prioritising skills
