About the role
HTL Insurance is seeking experienced insurance brokers to join our growing General Insurance team. We have two opportunities available: an experienced Commercial Insurance Broker to manage and grow a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, or an experienced Domestic Insurance Broker (Desk-Based) to manage and develop a portfolio of domestic insurance clients.
Key responsibilities
Commercial Insurance Broker:
- Managing and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
- Building strong, long-term relationships with business owners
- Developing tailored insurance solutions and negotiating competitive terms with insurers
- Managing renewals, new business and ongoing client relationships
- Identifying opportunities for portfolio growth and new business development
Domestic Insurance Broker (Desk-Based):
- Managing and developing a portfolio of domestic insurance clients
- Providing quality advice across home, contents, motor and other personal insurance products
- Managing renewals, new business, policy adjustments and insurer negotiations
- Building genuine client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service
- Taking ownership of your portfolio while working closely with our wider team
About you
- Minimum of 4 years' commercial broking experience in New Zealand (Commercial Broker role) or minimum of 3 years' domestic insurance broking experience in New Zealand (Domestic Broker role)
- Proven insurance broking experience within the New Zealand market
- Confident working directly with clients and insurers
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proactive, organised and commercially minded
- Able to work independently and take ownership of results
- Committed to delivering quality advice and outstanding client outcomes
- Relevant New Zealand insurance qualifications and industry experience valued
