Holy Family Catholic School is home to approximately 120 students in the welcoming rural community of Waskatenau, Alberta. We are seeking a Junior High Teacher who will bring thoughtful instruction, enthusiasm for learning, and a commitment to Catholic education to our dedicated team.

This position includes teaching Junior High English Language Arts, Religion, as well as Career Education and Financial Literacy , offering an opportunity to help students strengthen their communication skills, explore their faith, develop practical life skills, and build confidence as they prepare for their futures.

This position is offered on an interim contract , with the possibility of future contracts with the Division.

As part of our teaching team, you will:

• Design engaging lessons aligned with the Alberta curriculum that strengthen literacy, encourage critical thinking, deepen students' understanding of their faith, and develop practical career and financial literacy skills.
• Use meaningful assessment and feedback to recognize student progress and guide the next steps in learning.
• Create a classroom where students feel they belong, adapting instruction to their strengths and learning needs.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues while contributing to the welcoming, faith-filled culture of a small rural school.
• Support students in developing the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to make thoughtful decisions and contribute positively to their communities.

• A valid Alberta teaching certificate or Letter of Authority by the start of employment.
• An understanding of the relevant Alberta curriculum and teaching practices aligned with Alberta's Teaching Quality Standard.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills, together with a collaborative approach to working with others.
• A commitment to Catholic education, student well-being, and continued professional growth.
