Know your way around a yard and handy on the forks? We want to hear from you.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Forklift Operator / Yard Hand to join a busy timber yard. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll be loading timber and building materials, operating a forklift, and assisting customers with their orders.

We have multiple sites across Albany, Glenfield, New Lynn, and Silverdale, so there may be opportunities to work closer to home.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Loading and unloading timber and building materials

  • Operating a counterbalance forklift

  • Assisting customers and trades on site

  • General yard duties and keeping the site tidy

What we’re looking for:

  • Current Counterbalance Forklift License with minimum 2 years’ experience

  • Full Class 1 Driver’s License

  • F endorsement

  • Pass a pre employment drugs test

  • Clean criminal record

  • Physically fit and confident handling heavy materials

  • Good attitude and comfortable dealing with customers

  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test

What’s on offer:

  • Monday to Friday hours

  • $25 – $27 per hour depending on experience

  • Ongoing work with the opportunity to go permanent

  • Immediate start available
