Vehicle Detailing & Preparation – Ute Nation Christchurch

Fast-Paced | Hands-On | High Standards

Ute Nation is looking for a reliable, motivated Vehicle Detailer / Groomer to join our busy team.

This is a fast-paced role in a high-volume dealership, so we need someone who can work with urgency, stay organised and take ownership of getting the job done.

Step Into a Well-Oiled Machine

We’ve already got the volume, systems and standards in place — we need someone who can step in, keep up and help keep vehicles moving.

This is a busy environment where priorities can change quickly, so you’ll need to be organised, reliable and comfortable working with a real sense of urgency.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for preparing our vehicles for sale, photography and customer delivery, including:

• Interior and exterior vehicle grooming

• Vacuuming, shampooing, polishing and presentation work

• Preparing vehicles for photography and the sales yard

• Final presentation checks before customer handover

• Assisting with vehicle and accessory preparation where required

• Managing multiple vehicles and priorities throughout the day

• Working closely with sales, workshop and stock teams to keep vehicles moving

What We’re Looking For

Our detailing team plays a major part in keeping the yard moving, so we’re looking for someone who can work at pace, stay organised and take ownership of their role.

You’ll need to be:

• Fast and efficient while maintaining a high standard

• Good at managing time, priorities and timeframes

• Proactive and able to use initiative

• Adaptable and comfortable working under pressure

• Reliable, punctual and a good communicator

• Positive, team-focused and able to work well with sales and workshop teams

• Able to work independently without constant direction

• Physically fit and comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on role

• Someone with a great eye for detail and a strong work ethic

Previous vehicle grooming or detailing experience is preferred, although we can train the right person if they have the right attitude, work ethic and ability to manage a busy workload.

We’re looking for someone who likes being productive, gets satisfaction from seeing vehicles move through quickly, and understands the bigger picture of how their role affects sales and customer delivery.

A full NZ driver licence is essential.
