You’ll be running 30t and 40t long reach material handlers with an elevating cab and grapple, unloading and grading incoming scrap. It’s a trusted role. Your grading determines what gets paid out on each load, so a sharp eye matters as much as machine skill. Scrap grading experience is a bonus, but if you’ve got the operating skills, we’ll get you up to speed.

The Details
- Location: Onehunga
- Pay: $32 to $33 per hour
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 5:00pm, plus every second Saturday, 7:00am to 12:00pm
- Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm
- Operating 30t and 40t long reach material handlers with a grapple and elevating cab
- Grading incoming scrap loads accurately
- Keeping in contact with the yard team via radio
- Following site SOPs (full induction provided)
- Working safely in a busy, high-movement yard
- Material handler or excavator operating experience (scrap grading experience is a bonus)
- A sharp eye for detail and accuracy
- Strong health and safety focus
- Class 1 licence (operating experience is the priority)
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Valid NZ work visa
- Clean pre-employment drug test
