Territory Manager - Three towns. Three teams. One territory to build.
You've grown a sales team before, and you have the results to show for it. Now you want something bigger to lead: more autonomy, more scope, and a territory you can make your own.
Harcourts Monarch Southwest is looking for a Territory Manager to lead our Te Awamutu, Ōtorohanga and Te Kūiti branches as one unified, high-performing team. It's a new role, built for a leader who can win the trust of experienced agents, lift performance across several sites, and take our rural business to the next level.
The opportunity
This territory covers some of the most productive farmland in the country, along with three close-knit communities where reputation is everything. You'll report directly to the Company Directors/Owners, so you'll have a real say in how the territory grows. You'll also have a strong support team around you, including our Auction Manager, Operations Manager and Strategic Delivery Manager, plus the systems and brand of Harcourts behind you.
What you'll be doing
Leading and motivating sales teams across all three branches through weekly sales meetings, regular one-on-ones, goal-setting and coaching that gets results
Recruiting experienced, currently practising salespeople from the wider market into the territory, including strong rural performers
Growing our rural presence by working alongside our rural agents and building relationships with vendors, buyers, stock agents and rural professionals
Building a strong auction culture with our Auctioneer, and helping agents list and prepare properties for auction
Running training across all three offices, in the office and in the field, for groups and one-on-one
Owning performance across three branch P&Ls, with monthly reviews and quick action on any variances
Being the face of Harcourts in Te Awamutu, Ōtorohanga and Te Kūiti, including in the rural community
What you'll bring
A proven track record of growing an existing sales team's listings and sales, with the numbers to back it up
Credibility with experienced agents. You know how to attract good people and why they'd want to join you.
Strong knowledge of the rural real estate market and what rural vendors and buyers need
Experience leading and motivating teams across more than one site
Sound commercial and financial acumen
What's in it for you
A senior leadership role with genuine autonomy and direct access to the owners
An experienced support team, so you can focus on people and growth
The training, technology and national network of one of Australasia's leading real estate brands
Ready to build something?
If you're a sales leader who wants a territory to grow, not just an office to manage, we'd love to talk. Apply with your CV and a short cover letter that tells us about a team you've grown and what you achieved.
