Kia mahi ngātahi mō Pōneke mō tōna āpōpō | Working together for Wellington's future

Planning & Development | Wellington City Council

Ready to help shape Wellington's future?

Wellington is a city that’s growing, changing and evolving. As a Consent Planner, you'll play an important role in helping deliver quality urban development while balancing the needs of our communities, environment, and future generations. You'll work with applicants, developers, consultants, mana whenua, residents, and colleagues across Council to navigate resource consent processes and support great outcomes for Pōneke.

Āu ake mahi | What you'll do

Joining our Planning Consents team, you'll manage a range of resource consent applications across land use and subdivision projects. You'll provide planning advice, assess development proposals, prepare planning reports and recommendations, and work closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure applications are processed efficiently and within statutory timeframes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career planner looking to build their expertise while contributing to the growth and development of New Zealand's capital city.
