About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new production line from the ground up. As Team Leader, you’ll act as the Frontline Manager’s right hand, helping shape how the line runs, working out the detail and contributing to the instructions and processes as they’re developed. You’ll lead a small, close-knit team of 8-9 on the floor, keeping production running smoothly and stepping in to cover the Frontline Manager when needed, with a clear path to progress your role as you grow into the position.
You’re a confident, hands-on leader with a background in manufacturing, from packing and FMCG production, ideally within a kitchen, bakery, or food-manufacturing environment. You’re ready to step up as a trusted 2IC, think outside the box, take initiative, and enjoy being part of working out how things should run.

- Lead, coach, and support a team of 8-9 production staff on the floor.
- Support the Frontline Manager by keeping the line running smoothly day-to-day and providing regular updates on output, issues, and staffing.
- Help develop processes, instructions, and best practices as the new line comes online.
- Ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety procedures are consistently met.
- Calculate quantities and requirements accurately to support planning and output.
- Get hands-on with fault-finding and troubleshooting across the process line.
You’re a confident, hands-on leader with a background in manufacturing, from packing and FMCG production, ideally within a kitchen, bakery, or food-manufacturing environment. You’re ready to step up as a trusted 2IC, think outside the box, take initiative, and enjoy being part of working out how things should run.
- Proven experience in a team leader, leading hand, or supervisor role, with the ability to work alongside and support a manager.
- Manufacturing background in packing/FMCG, with kitchen, bakery, or food production and packaging experience highly regarded.
- Good mechanical understanding of process lines, comfortable getting stuck in for fault-finding.
- Proactive, practical mindset, happy to take initiative and help build out processes and instructions.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
