Duties & Responsibilities
The factory sells almost entirely to export markets in containers
The GM has overall responsibility for factory production, procurement of raw materials and consumables, and general factory administration. The role reports directly to the CEO and manages all 35 factory and admin staff.
Factory production
- Drying chrome and manganese
- Bagging and stacking of containers for chrome and manganese
- Milling chrome and manganese into oxide products
- Mixing ladle sand
- Scheduling and executing shipments
Procurement
- Buying raw materials
- Buying consumables
Factory administration
- Factory HR
- Health and safety
- Production scheduling
- Shipment planning
- Stock management
Essential Experience
The non-negotiable requirements are chrome and /or manganese processing experience and at least 10 years of relevant senior-level production management.
