Essential Tasks
- Design, build and optimise data integration pipelines supporting legacy system migration and SAP ERP integration.
- Develop enterprise data marts, STAR schemas and reusable analytical data products across logistics, sustainment and operational domains.
- Support migration from legacy data warehouses to enterprise data mesh architectures, improving data quality, governance and interoperability.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Architects and developers to deliver data transformations, testing and application enhancements.
- Minimum 5 years' dedicated data engineering experience, including advanced SQL, 3NF and STAR schema design, optimisation and refactoring.
- Strong Python scripting and data transformation experience, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality verification and Data DevOps.
- Experience migrating or refactoring legacy data warehouses or large-scale application data environments, including data mart design, development and testing.
- Experience working in Agile environments, preferably Scrum. Exposure to Data Vault 2.0, data mesh, SAP logistics or Cloudera/Databricks is desirable.
