Know bikes, and know what makes a shop floor sell?

About us:

Cycle Sport imports and distributes quality cycling products to bike and sports stores right across New Zealand. We look after brands like Vittoria, Kona, Lezyne and ABUS. We're part of the Evo group, alongside Evo Cycles, New Zealand's biggest specialist bike retailer, and the group is family owned, 100% Kiwi and started in the Waikato in 2007.

The role:

This one is all about our sister company. You'll work only with the Evo Cycles showrooms - 30+ stores nationwide - making sure our brands land well on their shop floors. That means training store and workshop crew, setting up displays, sorting the range with store leaders, and being the person they ring about a tech question. You'll also help manage our warranties for the Evo stores, following each claim through with the supplier until it's sorted. It's a road job, and we mean it: lots of travel around New Zealand with nights away. You'll report to the Commercial Manager and have a company vehicle.

What you'll do:

- Run product training for showroom and workshop crew so they sell our brands with confidence

- Set up and keep up displays, walls and POS for our brands in every store

- Work with store leaders on what to range, stock levels and reorders

- Keep sell-through moving, including shifting slow lines

- Help manage our warranties for the Evo stores: take the Cycle Sport claims that come in, follow each one through with the supplier until it's resolved, and keep the store posted on where it's at

- Be the go-to for stores on spares and technical questions

- Keep order and account data tidy in Sprint 3, and feed what you're seeing back to our procurement crew

- Jump in across the Evo group when the wider team needs a hand

What you bring:

- A full driver's licence - a must, and you'll be on the road most weeks

- Happy with nights away from home

- Solid bike product knowledge, from tyres and locks to complete bikes

- Retail or wholesale experience in bikes, or a workshop background - a bonus

- The confidence to stand in front of a store crew and teach them something

- An eye for a good display, and the discipline to keep it that way

- The follow-through to keep a warranty claim moving until it's closed

What you get:

- Salary plus a company vehicle

- Monday to Friday

- The brands we look after, in the hands of people who'll actually sell them

- Room to grow in the Evo group

Our values are the same across the group: we go all-in, we lead through actions rather than titles, we look for the win-win, we improve, and we work together as one crew - mahi tahi.

How to apply:

You must have the right to work in New Zealand. Apply on Seek with your CV and a cover letter. In the letter, tell us what you ride and the shops or stores you've worked with.
