Altitude Guides – Full-Time
October/November 2026 – March/April 2027
Rotorua | Redwoods Treewalk & Altitude
Love the outdoors, working with people, and doing something a little different every day?
We’re looking for Altitude Guides to join our crew for the busy summer season or year round!
You don’t need to arrive knowing how to do everything — we provide the training you need to become an Altitude Guide. What we’re really looking for are great people: reliable, confident, safety-focused team players who genuinely enjoy creating awesome experiences for others.
About the role
As an Altitude Guide, you’ll take guests through our zipline and high-wire experience, making sure they feel safe, supported and have an unforgettable time.
Safety is our number one priority, but that doesn’t mean every trip needs to feel the same. Once trained, you’ll have the freedom to bring your own personality and hosting style to the experience.
Alongside guiding, you’ll help inspect our infrastructure, take part in regular rescue training and prepare for situations outside the normal day-to-day operation.
What you'll be doing
Guiding guests through our zipline and high-wire experience
Creating a fun, welcoming and memorable experience
Keeping yourself, your team and our guests safe
Completing daily safety and infrastructure checks
Taking part in regular rescue and emergency training
Working closely with a small, supportive team
Staying calm and professional when things don't go to plan
Helping out across the wider operation when needed
Who are we looking for?
Attitude matters to us.
You could be a great fit if you're someone who:
Loves working with people
Is confident, friendly and professional
Enjoys being outdoors and active
Works well as part of a close-knit team
Has great situational awareness
Is reliable and takes responsibility seriously
Can stay calm and think clearly under pressure
Is keen to learn new skills
Is available across our busy summer period, including weekends, public holidays and school holidays
Experience as a zipline/high-wire guide or instructor, climbing experience, or First Aid/PHEC qualifications is definitely a bonus — but don't let a lack of experience stop you from applying.
We provide training for the right people.
Why work with us?
· Guaranteed hours – Fixed-term full-time contracts give you more certainty throughout the summer season.
· Full training & quality gear – We'll give you the training and equipment you need to do the job safely and confidently.
· First Aid training – If required for your role, we'll fund your First Aid course.
· Regular rescue training – Keep developing your skills through practical, hands-on training.
· Opportunities to grow – There are opportunities to develop your skills and progress within the wider company.
· More ways to work – Depending on operational needs and your interests, there may be opportunities to pick up work across Redwoods Treewalk and our night experiences.
🤝 A crew that looks after each other – We're proud of the supportive, close-knit culture we've built. We work hard, have fun and take looking after our people seriously.
An incredible workplace – Come to work surrounded by Rotorua's Redwoods, right in the heart of one of New Zealand's iconic mountain biking destinations.
Sound like your kind of summer?
