Join Southern Downs Regional Council as an Engineering Technical Officer (RMPC) and play a key role in maintaining and improving our regional road network. You’ll support the delivery of road maintenance and preservation works, helping ensure our roads remain safe, reliable and accessible for the all communities within the Southern Downs.

STATUS:
Permanent, Full-time
HOURS OF WORK:
72.5 hours per fortnight | 9-day fortnight | 6:00am – 3:00pm
PAY LEVEL:
$3700.21 - $4577.88 per fortnight (Level 5-7)
Plus 12% Superannuation and 17.5% Annual Leave Loading in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Agreement and the relevant Award.
Pay rate dependant on relevant skills and experience.

What you will need in this role

To be considered for this role, you will need:
Legal right to live and work in Australia
A Class C (car) licence or greater is required in this role.
A white construction card or the ability to obtain one is a mandatory requirement for this role.
Qualification of at least Associate Diploma level in civil engineering, project management or other relevant discipline; or equivalent experience.
A person in this position will need to hold a current certificate for Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Parts 1 & 2, or have the ability to obtain.
Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience in a contemporary municipal civil construction and maintenance engineering primarily in the area of roads and stormwater including a strong understanding of design, construction and maintenance practices, techniques and standards.
Well developed research, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to create and utilise relevant management systems, create relevant documents and records.
