Clean Energy Solutions is looking for a highly experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join our team. We provide heating, cooling, ventilation and energy-efficient solutions for residential and commercial customers across Auckland.
Initially, this will be a hands-on role across installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding. Over time, we want you to become a trusted technical specialist, supporting the team, contributing to job planning and helping shape the technical standards of the business.

Where this role could take you
This is not an immediate desk role. We need someone who is willing and able to remain hands-on initially.
However, as you become established within Clean Energy Solutions, there is genuine potential to transition into a more office-based technical position. This could include quoting, job planning, project coordination, technical support, staff development and team leadership.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll remain actively involved in HVAC work while becoming a trusted technical resource for the wider team. Your responsibilities will include:
Installing, servicing and maintaining HVAC systems across residential, commercial and industrial environments.
Diagnosing faults, completing repairs and resolving complex technical issues.
Working with customers, builders, clients and other trades to deliver quality outcomes.
Providing technical advice and practical guidance on installation methods, fault-finding and good trade practice.
Mentoring developing technicians and helping maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
Assisting with technical job planning, site coordination and problem-solving.
Supporting the owner and wider team with technical decisions and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
This is a genuinely senior position, suited to someone with substantial HVAC experience and the confidence to lead through their knowledge, workmanship and professional approach.
You’ll ideally bring:
At least 10 years’ hands-on experience in the HVAC industry.
Broad experience across residential and commercial environments, with industrial experience an advantage.
Strong capability in installation, servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault-finding.
The ability to diagnose problems and develop practical, effective solutions.
Pride in your workmanship and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
The confidence to work independently, make sound technical decisions and mentor others.
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
A full, current New Zealand driver’s licence.
A positive, reliable and professional approach.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems and understands the value of sharing their knowledge to help others succeed.
