  • Support compliance with applicable building, fire, life safety, environmental, infection prevention, and workplace safety requirements. Assist with required inspections, equipment testing, emergency preparedness activities, and corrective actions.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, equipment failures, building alarms, and service interruptions, taking appropriate immediate action to protect residents, team members, visitors, and Community property. Participate in emergency drills and assigned response procedures.
  • Perform and coordinate general building maintenance, cleaning, and restorative activities, including painting, minor carpentry, flooring and carpet care, fixture replacement, wall repairs, trash removal, exterior upkeep, and storm-related cleanup.
  • Assist with coordinating vendors, contractors, inspections, repairs, and approved improvement projects, monitoring assigned work to ensure adherence to established safety, quality, scope, and timeline expectations.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, mechanical spaces, and maintenance work areas in a clean, organized, safe, and serviceable condition. Monitor supply inventories and coordinate authorized purchases while supporting cost-conscious maintenance practices.
  • Assist with resident suite inspections, repairs, and restorative work associated with move-ins, transfers, and occupancy changes, ensuring spaces meet established safety, functionality, and presentation standards.
  • Provide day-to-day coaching, training, and operational guidance to maintenance team members, reinforcing safe work practices, productivity, accountability, and consistent service standards.
  • Collaborate with Community leadership and department heads to prioritize maintenance needs, minimize disruptions to resident services, and ensure timely, professional communication regarding work requests and service updates.
  • Assume responsibility for daily maintenance operations in the Director's absence, within established authority, and promptly escalate matters requiring additional leadership approval.
  • Participate in required training, departmental meetings, safety programs, and professional development activities. Perform other related duties as assigned in support of Community operations.
