About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who can take a project from first numbers to final account. You’ll work closely with our clients, architects, engineers and builders to deliver high-performance residential and commercial buildings, and you’ll be a key part of a small, tight-knit team where everyone’s contribution counts.

What you’ll bring

• Estimating: Confident preparing accurate, well-structured estimates and tender pricing from early concept through to detailed design, including measuring quantities, sourcing subcontractor and supplier pricing, and identifying risks and assumptions.

• Contracts management: Sound working knowledge of NZS 3910 and related contract forms, with experience managing variations, progress claims, payment schedules and final accounts.

• Cost control: Ability to track budgets, forecast costs and flag issues early so projects stay on track.

• Commercial judgement: A practical, solutions-focused approach to protecting margins while keeping client relationships strong.

• Communication: Clear, confident written and verbal communication, and comfortable negotiating with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

• Attention to detail: Organised and thorough, with strong documentation habits.

• Team fit: A collaborative, hands-on attitude and a genuine interest in quality, high-performance building.

• Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification in quantity surveying or construction management, with minimum 5 years NZ and/or Australian industry experience preferred.
