Packaging Developments & Improvements
Design and develop domestic and export-worthy packaging solutions tailored for Engines, Gensets, Pump Sets and Spare Parts.
Lead end-to-end packaging development for proto codes during new product development phases.
Identify and execute continuous improvement projects to optimize packaging material usage, minimize shipping dimensions and lower freight costs.
Analyze transit damage data, gather customer feedback and implement corrective actions to improve packaging
Explore alternative, eco-friendly or reusable packaging materials while maintaining structural protection.
Partner with Cross-Functional Teams (CFT)—including Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Sourcing—for packaging trials and sign-offs.
Conduct physical fitment, loading, and transit trials; document findings via Packaging Trial Reports (PTR) and Minutes of Meetings (MOM).
PLM System Knowledge – Packaging Part No creation, drawing updation, packing group creation in system & packaging group updation in respective application code BOM
Follow and enforce IMS rules, guidelines, and procedures; ensure visible display of protocols in relevant operational areas.
Implement, monitor and maintain compliance with IMS legal, environmental, and industry-specific requirements.
Prepare and maintain precise packaging records, engineering change requests (ECN), trial logs and compliance documentation per IMS audit requirements.
Adhere strictly to Operational Control Procedures (OCP), use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and ensure team-wide compliance during trials and floor work.
Identify internal and external operational issues affecting packaging performance, supply chain, and transit safety.
