Teacher Aide  

Ahutoetoe Unit (Milldale)

Commencing Term 1, 2027

27.5 hours per week, 9am-3pm Monday to Friday.  Term time only - school holidays unpaid. 

Potential opportunity for someone to work close to home in this permanent, part-time teacher aide role where you would join a dedicated team of teachers at our Ahutoetoe school unit in Milldale, north of Auckland.

 As a Teacher Aide, you will work alongside experienced teachers to support the individual learning needs of students/ākonga and their participation in the classroom. This role includes assisting with curriculum delivery, preparing classroom resources, and working directly with students under the guidance of a team of teachers. The work is rewarding and meaningful as you’ll be making a genuine difference in the lives of young people experiencing health challenges. 

This role will suit someone with empathy, excellent communication skills in spoken and written English, and the ability to build professional, respectful relationships with students. Tangata Pasifika connections or the ability to speak Te reo Māori would be highly regarded but not essential.
